When To Take Bodybuilding Supplements

Supplement timing

There are lots of supplements now available for bodybuilding to help add more muscle or to get stronger and to recover faster. As the number of supplements that one can use and afford gets greater and people have to figure out when the best time to take various supplements is and what amount to achieve the greatest affect so that the money you spend is spent wisely and you get the greatest gains in the shortest amount of time.

To look at what supplements you should take during the day there are some key times of day that supplementation is based around these are early morning, pre-workout, post-workout and before sleep.

In the morning you have been asleep and without food for about eight hours and you have to prepare for the day you haven?t had any food and your body is running low on fuel.

Pre Workout-This is the time before you hit the gym and put your muscles under stress to stimulate them to grow. What you take before hand can help improve your workout performance thus generating a stronger stimulus for muscle growth.

Post Workout- After you have worked out your body starts to go into recovery mode after the stress that has been put on it, you need to make sure that you body doesn?t slide into a catabolic state causing you to start to lose muscle mass. This is the time to kick start your body into a phase of growth.

Before sleep- You are preparing for sleep, sleep is when your body does a lot of recovery and growth. Levels of growth hormone rise during sleep and muscle growth occurs at this stage certain supplements are needed to help maintain the growth.

Some supplements are more important than others, there is some debate about which supplements are ranked more important but there is general agreement that protein is the most important followed by creatine then following those are arginine, tribulus, glutamine and BCAAs. There are other supplements available the ones I have mentioned here are some of the most popular ones. You may want to experiment to see what works best for you but here is a schedule of these supplements if you had access to all of these you may want to experiment to see which combinations work best for you.

Here is a schedule that you could follow if you were using these six supplements
Morning
40 Grams of Protein
2-3 Grams of Arginine
This is needed to supply the body with protein and amino acids after 8 hours fasting this will help prevent any muscle breakdown. The Arginine help dilate blood vessels when exercising and helps boost levels of growth hormone

Pre Workout
3-5 Grams of Creatine
20 Grams of Protein
40 Grams of Carbohydrate.
5 Grams BCAA
Creatine is taken pre workout to help boost strength and endurance with the whey protein as well and the carbohydrate to provide energy. During exercise you body may turn to amino acids for fuel BCAAs stop the body from turning to muscle tissue for fuel and may also stimulate faster fat burning.

Post Workout
3-5 Grams of Creatine
40 Grams of Protein
40 Grams of Carbohydrate.
5 Grams BCAA
The body is under stress and needs to start to recover the protein is utilized by the body to help repair muscle tissue and the carbohydrate help replenish energy levels from exercise. The creatine helps improve strength and endurance. BCAAs also provide fuel for recovering muscle as they are readily absorbed into the bloodstream.

Sleep Time
40 grams of Protein
2-3 grams of Arginine
Before you go to sleep you need to endure your body has adequate protein for 8 hours, carbohydrate is avoided at this time to prevent it being converted to fat. The Arginine helps boost growth hormone levels during sleep.

This should hopefully serve as a guide to then is the best time to take certain supplements you may want to experiment with different amounts or adding other supplements and you don?t have to use all the ones listed here. Just one or two at the roper times can help with your progress and it is still essential to have a good diet and to weight train proper supplements aid you they will not do all the work.

How to Compare Home Gyms

As people all over the world become more and more concerned with getting the proper exercise and eating the proper food, the choices of home gyms showcased in stores become wider and bigger as well.

So how do we compare home gyms? Do we simply concentrate on the prices? Or should it be all about the brand? If you?re feeling confused, read on and learn how to compare home gyms effectively to end up with the ideal purchase.

First and foremost, when you?re about to compare home gyms, you should remember that there are two possible meanings for the term: it could either mean a singular exercise machine that can serve multiple purposes or a room at your house that works as a gym.

For this article, however, we shall concentrate on the former ? home gyms being multi-purpose exercise machines.

Factors to Consider for Comparison of Home Gyms

Price - This is always an important factor to consider, even if you have no need to be budget-conscious. Consider the features and ask yourself if the price is justified or not.

Brand - Unless the status quo is extremely significant for you, don't allow the brand of home gyms to sway you into making a less than sensible decision. If there is nothing that distinguishes a model from another except for a thousand of dollars, the more practical solution would be, of course, to buy the cheaper model.

Size - Consider the size of the home gym. If it?s bulky, is there enough space in your house for it?

Features - Does the home gym serve a singular purpose or can it help you with strength training and fat burning among other things? Make sure that you choose the home gym that best suits your needs.

Quality - Although cheap prices are always good, if it means low quality and subjecting yourself to higher risks of injury, you'll be better off purchasing a higher-priced model instead.

Bodybuilding Like All Sports Is As Much A Mind Game As It Is A Physical Game

People may look at bodybuilding or bodybuilders and think that it is a sport of very little brain and of bodybuilders as a bunch of muscle heads just lifting weights all day long, getting big ?specs? and staring at themselves in the mirror. Well then for any one who thinks like that, I?m sorry to say that you are wrong. There is a lot more to bodybuilding than what meets the eye; it is as much work mentally as it is physically. Bodybuilders put much effort, time and work into building up their bodies to get it into that chiseled out muscular physique that you may see.

Bodybuilding is really as much a mind game as any other sport, all the pressure to keep on track without missing a single practice or staying focused on your goals especially during those hard times where you fall short. Or dealing with all that discouragement and then having to go on and work twice as hard to make up for it. But the secret here is to keep reminding yourself where you want to reach and how every workout is one step closer to getting you exactly where you would like to be. Bodybuilders must be dedicated and focused on their goals.

Bodybuilders have to keep pushing themselves to lift more and more all of the time or else they will remain in a paused state. Another important thing in bodybuilding is what you eat, if you eat a whole lot of unhealthy foods even though you go to the gym and lift weights most likely you are still going to gain a lot and you know how hard it is to refuse some of your favorite foods just to stay lean. So you have to be smart and health conscious in order to put on muscle.

A good way for a bodybuilder to stay focused is to stick up a picture of someone that they aspire to be like next to a place where they will see it every day like next to a mirror or closet and keep telling themselves that they too will look like that with enough hard work and effort. The next time you see a big, strong guy walking down the street or any where don?t be so quick to call them a dumb muscle head because it takes a lot of time, effort, and hard mental and physical work to get like that.
