Bodybuilding Supplement Leukic - Does Leukic Really Work For Bodybuilders?

If you are a bodybuilder then you know full well the importance of maintaining a positive anabolic muscle building state in order to grow muscle mass. Many companies in the world specialize in the development and promotion of supplements that work to maintain this state for bodybuilders. Leukic, developed and promoted by MuscleTech is such a supplement and seems to be getting a lot of attention in the bodybuilding world. Leukic promises results in muscle growth far superior to the other products currently on the market. This article will look at Leukic as a bodybuilding supplement and examine its pros and cons.

Leucine-ketoisocaproic acid calcium is the chemical name for Leukic which is classified as an anabolic activator and it is not illegal nor a steroid. MuscleTech claims that it is the only 100% anabolic compound available on the market. Being 100% pure, there are supposedly no androgenic or estrogenic side effects such as bloating or Gynecomastia. Gynecomastia, commonly knows as gyno is the condition where a male bodybuilder develops feminine style breasts due to increased estrogen in his system. When a bodybuilder trains, hormones are elevated that will signal the muscles to grow. The negative side to this is that elevating these muscle building hormones can also elevate other unwanted hormones such as estrogen. This may cause serious side effects that can set your training back by weeks or even months. MuscleTech claims that the anabolic supplement Leukic will induce anabolism without affecting hormone levels.

The effects of Leukic are said to be immediately effective when taken before a training workout so no loading is required. This is important because many supplements require that you take the product for a specific time frame before it becomes effective. Also known as loading, this phrase means that you must allow the supplement to build up in your system before it starts to work. The manufacturers directions say to take one serving first thing when you wake up and on workout days, take one serving immediately before your workout. For extreme muscle growth, you can and may wish to take two servings a day. MuscleTech also recommends that you drink a generous amount of water when taking Leukic.

Leukic is said to stimulate your muscle growth and build permanent, dense muscle mass with ongoing training. MuscleTech claims that this is possible because Leukic will set off the anabolic signals that testosterone and other growth hormones generate without actually manipulating these and other unwanted hormones. This will induce an anabolic state without fear of the negative feedback loop which many bodybuilder experience and fear. In this supercharged anabolic state, your body has no choice but to build lean, dense muscle. In addition to putting your body in a positive anabolic state, MuscleTech claims that Leukic will also help you stay out of the muscle wasting catabolic state.

With the word anabolic popping up through this article, you may be thinking anabolic steroids and banned performance enhancing drugs and I must stress once again that Leukic is an activator and not a illegal steroid. If you are a professional bodybuilder with competition in mind, then taking a banned substance is not in your best interest. With this fact in mind, I searched through the North American anti-doping list and did not find Leukic on the list. In addition to this, it is rumored that Leukic was actually designed to be a replacement for the banned substances. If this is truly the case then professional bodybuilders who compete have no reason to fear using this supplement.

Dedicated bodybuilders know that there are thousands of supplements available to enhance their efforts and it can be extremely difficult to decide on the best product regardless of all the positive claims made by the manufacturer. As with most supplements, MuscleTech makes a lot of claims about Leukic being the very best product available on the market. While this can sometimes be difficult to prove scientifically, it is always informative to read some reviews by those who have actually used a certain product such as Leukic. After reading comments written by people who have been using the supplement Leukic, it became clear that most were happy with the results and offered a positive comment. I did, however, notice several comments that indicated that Leukic caused more weight gain then desired for that particular individual. While MuscleTech promotes Leukic as a muscle building supplement not designed specifically for gaining weight, it is a well known fact that increasing your muscle mass will often increase your weight as well.

Bodybuilding - Eating Properly

Bodybuilding requires strength, a balanced diet, endurance, and proper training. A proper diet will ensure that the person doing bodybuilding will increase her muscle mass while keeping a general good health. The overall diet of a bodybuilder should be balanced and avoid fast food.

When undergoing a bodybuilding program, a person should eat generously and frequently quality food rich in protein. It is common for a serious bodybuilder to eat 5 to 7 meals or snacks per day. This amount of food provides their bodies with the proper nutrients and energy to perform during the day. The food intake should be taken every 2 or 3 hours. Professional bodybuilders have understood this fact and respect it to insure they feel good. Often people undergoing serious bodybuilding will ask for a professional trainer?s assistance. It then gets easier to balance everything required to have a healthy bodybuilding program. Eating frequently quality meals rich in protein will insure the bodybuilder a healthy transformation. It will also help keep their blood sugar levels at a normal level.

Bodybuilding involves regular and serious training as much as a specific diet. While involved in bodybuilding, a person will see her overall body fat decrease and being replaced by lean muscle. Effective bodybuilding will be achieved by a balanced combination of healthy eating, regular training and proper rest. . Bodybuilders participating in competitions have to be free of drug and illegal substance abuse. Rules and regulations and drug testing has been tightened recently as a result of past abuses. In many competitions, each bodybuilder must have 2 letters of reference stating they have not used any type of illicit drugs during the past 5 years. A bodybuilder caught testing positive for drug enhancement can face a two year ban from all competitions.

Successful bodybuilders are passionate about the sport. They eat, breath and sleep bodybuilding. They are committed to improving their general health and increase their muscular mass. Those who are the most successful at it don?t see it as work. They enjoy the workouts and the diets. They look forward to getting up and spending that time in the gym. Successful bodybuilders enjoy working out and challenging themselves physically and mentally. They often look for new ways to enhance their performance.

Any teenager interested in bodybuilding should consult a qualified physician before undertaking a program. They need the proper training and diet rich in protein and in accordance to their growing needs. Since their bodies are still growing it is important not to lift too heavy in order to avoid injuries. A person can seriously hurt herself by lifting weights that are too heavy or pushing herself too much. Often, the interest for bodybuilding in teenagers starts in school or a t home. When done properly, bodybuilding can prove to be a healthy habit and greatly increase the teenager?s self-confidence.

Natural Bodybuilding Get Big or Die Trying III

Muscles, Marketing, And Most Of All MONEY

You see Most Magazines and Internet media make their money on Advertisements. Advertisers use the latest drug infused ?Mass-Monster? to promote their supplements, products, or program. The formula is pretty simple and used by almost every one of the big Companies. Allow me to share with you exactly how the formula works.

You simply combine pictures of the latest Mass-Monster with one, two or even better a whole group of very attractive women with cartoon like proportions posing in sexually suggestive positions to imply that by taking their supplement not only will you get as big as a house in a few weeks but you will also have ?playboy playmates? drooling all over you.

Now slide in a few scientific sounding theories, an unpronounceable name complete with dashes, numbers, and some lightening bolts, flames and bright colors and bingo- you got a mad dash to the local GNC to get the latest Gimmick. Usually a few radical graphs, statistics and outright lies also accompany the ad to further drive home the sales pitch. ?Does this sound familiar??

The ?Results? are then backed up by convincing before and after poses of chemically enhanced and genetically gifted individuals subjected to massive drug dosages, rigorous training schedules and Spartan diets. While the format, marketing, and claims have evolved over the years the bold faced deceit has sunk to a new all time low.

I have yet to see an ad that listed the drugs used by the athlete in question or a complete health profile accompanied by a drug test performed by a qualified medical institution of the individual before, during, and after the pictures were taken. I also don?t expect to see any of these companies step up to the plate and request a drug test from the before and after participants.

Consider the fact that there are literally thousands of bodybuilding supplements pitched by companies featuring an endless array of ?breakthroughs? which promise to deliver instant muscle almost overnight how many of them do you really believe deliver the promised results?

How The Muscle Marketing Merry-Go-Round Fuels

The Supplement Scamme-R-Amma

I call this program the supplement Scamme-R-amma and there seems to be a never ending line of bodybuilders willing to sacrifice life and limb to get there picture in a advertisement and a supplement contract so that they can pay for the next shipment of health destroying drugs.

When any one of these bodybuilders gets arrested, gets sick, or dies they simply replace them with the next freak of nature, release a new product, and start the process all over again. The Muscle Marketing Merry-Go-Round has worked for a long time simply because companies keep releasing ?new and improved products? with ever increasing marketing sophistication that keeps a few steps ahead of the game.

Everybody?s in on the gag because the average Joe who wants to get a little big bigger like Dustin simply doesn?t have enough real training knowledge to make an educated decision on drugs, supplements, training or diet.

Unfortunately the magazines and the big companies know that most individuals rely on hype, hearsay, and the convincing ads written by clever copywriters who are out to make a quick buck. In the end, every body loses, but it doesn?t have to be this way.

You the consumer have the power to demand change but that requires you to reset your ?Reality-meter? and get educated on what?s really going on the bodybuilding industry.

The bottom line is all of this marketing madness drives guys like Dustin to continually search for the next potion, pill, or protein in their quest to get a little bit bigger. The unfortunate part is whether it?s the supplement companies, the magazines, or the Biggest Dude in the gym; all of them are playing on the lack of real training and nutrition know-how.

Temptations, Rationalizations, And

The ?Get Big Or Die Trying? Mentality

I know the temptations, the rationalizations, and most of all the costs of the ?Get Big Or Die Trying Mentality?. I went down that path a long time ago and thankfully I managed to escape with my life and health intact but I cannot say the same for many of my friends, colleagues and competitors who I have met over the years. (See may article titled the ?Myth-ster Universe, One Bodybuilder?s Journey?.

Many of my friends and acquaintances from the bodybuilding world are not here to share how easy it is to get caught in the Muscle Marketing Machine and the Underground Bodybuilding Drug Culture. The Get Big Or Die Trying Mentality probably isn?t going to go away for a while, but you deserve to know the truth behind the ?slippery slope of steroids? and how to avoid going there if you can.

But let me elaborate for those of you who are considering this path like our friend Dustin and present to you some real honest facts about the potential game you plan when you allow yourself to succumb to the ?Get Big Or Die Trying Mentality?.

Top 10 Facts - The Truth Behind Steroids, GH, Insulin

And Other Bodybuilding Drugs

FACT 1 - Steroids, GH, Insulin, Clenbuterol, and the endless array of drugs used be bodybuilders do in fact make you bigger, leaner, and stronger. People use them because they work, at least temporarily as long as you continue to use them. The problem is few people use the drugs for what they were intended for and even fewer have proper medical supervision to ensure safety and reduced side effects.

FACT 2 ? All of these drugs have side effects and must be taken in increasing dosages to be effective over time. Eventually the side effects catch up to the size gains and your health becomes compromised. Early side effects are: gynocomastia (bitch tits), water-retention, hyper-tension, liver and kidney problems, skin problems (acne), rapid pulse, mood disorders, male pattern baldness, enlarged prostates in men and enlarged clitoris in women, as well as changes in body structure.

FACT 3 ? As the dosages increase or the longer the person uses drugs more serious side effects start to occur, such as enlarged hearts, diabetes, sleep apnea, depression, thyroid irregularities, cysts on major organs such as livers, kidneys, and skin, impotence, paranoia, seizures, blood clots, strokes, heart attacks, kidney failure, heart failure, renal failure, and even death.

FACT 4 - The muscle building and fat burning results from drugs are temporary and the user goes back to the original size, and strength after the drug cycle. This tendency tends to spur the user to use more frequent and bigger dosages as well as multiple drugs called ?Stacking? to increase effectiveness of drug cycles. Eventually most users simply go from one drug cocktail to another further compounding the side effects and health costs.

FACT 5 ? No matter how big, strong, or ripped an athlete looks it never seems to be big enough or good enough because there is always someone bigger, better, more cut, more attractive etc. The insecurity that fed the drug abuse cycle was never addressed and it only becomes more amplified with drug use.

FACT 6 ? Most of the drugs circulating in gyms are counterfeits, animal drugs, or toxic home brews made in severely unsanitary, and unsafe conditions, by ignorant amateurs using ?internet cookbooks?. Not only do these drugs not work but also they present serious and life threatening consequences to anyone who uses them.

FACT 7 - The vast majority of bodybuilders who use, promote, and sell bodybuilding drugs are involved in criminal activity, avoid proper medical supervision, and have no idea about the dangers of the drugs they use and promote. Nor do they know the source of drugs, the half-life?s of the drugs, the complications of their use, or the serious side effects that can occur when various ?drug cocktails? are mixed together.

FACT 8 ? Few if any Bodybuilding Drug sites and overseas pharmacies are controlled or regulated by trained pharmaceutical staff or medical professionals and virtually no licensed medical professional would advocate the dosages, combinations, frequency or duration of use that the majority of bodybuilders practice.

FACT 9 ? It is a criminal offense to import, traffic, and/or possess most of the drugs used by bodybuilders. Stiff penalties are enforced by lawmakers to convict individuals who chose to break the law by using bodybuilding drugs. The rash of arrests, drug busts and charges against many of the top professional and amateur bodybuilders clearly demonstrate that involvement in the bodybuilding drug culture may result in you spending time behind bars.

FACT 10 ? When a person comes off a cycle of drugs most if not all the gains are lost and often times the individuals metabolism has been seriously affected. Metabolic damage from drug use is now commonplace among former drug users both male and females. Depression, fat-gain, and lack of motivation are virtually unavoidable consequences of drug use.

The Bottom Line On Using Bodybuilding Drugs To Get Big

Whether you choose to use drugs or not it?s important to recognize and realize that very few individuals use just one cycle and quit. Every time you choose to go on a cycle you are playing a game of ?Russian Roulette? with your health and well-being. Each cycle increases your odds of losing your gains, your health, and your freedom.

The reality is you don?t have use drugs to build a great physique. While you probably won?t win the Mr. Olympia by staying natural you most certainly can build a well-muscled athletic physique that commands respect and admiration.

The best part about building muscle naturally is you get to keep all of your gains in strength, muscle mass, and athleticism. It?s also easier to stay lean all year round, and your physique will have a much greater appeal to the opposite sex.

What?s better is that you can continually improve your body well into you senior years while simultaneously benefiting from excellent health, well-being, and athletic mobility.

7 Keys To Building a Great Physique Without Drugs

Let?s get back to Dustin our friend who was desperate to build more muscle and what my advice to him as well as anyone else in his shoes might want to consider. While the list below is a summary of my email to Dustin it is by no means a complete list. It does however give you a few basic guidelines to get started and to review when evaluating your training.

  1. Carefully examine the training program you are on. In my 20 years experience very rarely have I come across a person who?s training program made sense. Most individuals randomly throw together exercises, rep ranges, and body parts coupled with half hazard exercise form to produce less than ideal stimulus to work their muscles effectively. Bottom line is invest in a proven scientific training system or qualified professional coach with a proven track record to help you get the right training program for your body and your goals.
  2. Learn and Master Proper Exercise Performance. Virtually every gym I have ever trained in has literally most of the members performing exercises with too much weight, poor form, limited ranges and planes of motion, and sometimes downright dangerous practices which put the individuals at significant risk. Take the time to master exercise performance as this will help you build muscle at a much faster rate and reduce the risk of injuries.

  3. Build a solid base of real food from natural sources as the foundation of your dietary practices. Most athletes don?t understand even the basics of good nutrition, and are deficient in enzymes, live proteins, probiotics, minerals, vitamins, essential fatty acids and chlorophyll rich foods.

  4. Avoid Mega-dosing on Protein. The last 30 years of media bombardment has succeeded in convincing that more protein is better despite the overwhelming scientific evidence illustrating that the body requires only 50-100 grams per day maximum of protein. All of the largest and strongest animals in the animal kingdom eat ?live plant based proteins? as opposed to meat, whey products, or egg proteins, which are pitched mercilessly at society. The mega-dose advocates theories go against over 4 billion years of evolution.

  5. If you are going to use supplements get a genetic screening, or computerized report to determine what supplements your body can benefit from. Computer technology is evolving rapidly enough to help individuals determine precisely what supplements can benefit your health and your training.

  6. Commit to reading and learning qualified nutrition and training information from reputable sources. Don?t put your health and dollars in the hands of slick salesman who are willing to tell you anything to make a buck. Read proven journals and books on nutrition and training. Dr. Howell?s book on Enzyme Nutrition is a great place to start your reading.

  7. Regularly study and use mind training technology developed by sport psychologists. The mind is perhaps one of he most powerful and untapped aspects of a complete training program. Technology has made hypnosis, visualization, and other mind training technologies relatively inexpensive and readily available to everyone.

Never Give Up On Your Dreams

Finally my advice is never give up on your dreams but be prepared to invest a significant amount of time, effort and money in your physique. Building a great body takes a strong desire, consistent and intense effort, coupled with a patient positive attitude.

Today?s fast paced world has many of us running to catch up with yesterdays? goals and the world?s ?instant everything expectations? can make it challenging to be patient in allowing our bodies to develop at there own natural pace. Develop an attitude of gratitude in you?re training and celebrate each workout with joy and verve.

Recognize and acknowledge your own successes each and every day and surround yourself with positive energizing people who support your goals. Read positive books, eat good food, train intensely and consistently and you might be surprised at how enjoyable the journey can be.

The biggest key in building a great success is to fall in love with the process of learning, training and growing as opposed to making your training some masochistic do or die life and death battle with yourself. The NO PAIN NO GAIN mantra has developed into a mindset that has done more harm to bodybuilders and bodybuilding then any other single factor.

Bill Pearl who perhaps is the greatest natural bodybuilder of all time has the best attitude towards training. He states that you must coax not force your body to grow and that you should always leave the gym feeling like you could do a little bit more.

Bill has trained and coached more bodybuilders then perhaps anyone in the history of the sport and he has risen and succeeded at the absolute highest echelons of the bodybuilding world. Even today in his 70?s he still sports a terrific healthy physique that oozes power, strength, and vitality.

Considering most of today?s bodybuilders will not even make it to there 50?s I feel that we could all learn a thing or two from men like Bill.

Dustin?s Decision

It was a few months later when I heard back from Dustin. He decided not to use steroids and went back and evaluated his training using the 7 keys to building a great physique. It turns out his training program needed revamping and his diet needed some serious improvement.

He sought out the advice of Strength and Conditioning Specialist from a local university that really helped him learn exercise performance and training intensity as well as putting together a proper training program.

He also signed up for a nutrition course at the university which he attends once a week and found out a wealth of information about his body and it?s relation to nutrition.

Dustin also reported that he was up 5 lbs in lean body mass in less than two months and he found learning about the body so much fun he now was enrolling in a degree program at the university in the fall.

He thanked me for opening up a new world to him and helping him discover what he was truly passionate about in life. He told me that he was enjoying his workouts more than ever and was more excited about training and nutrition than he could remember.

I was really glad to hear how he dodged a bullet and took the time to explore his options before making a decision he might regret later. Thankfully, Dustin now has a bright future as he found a way to channel the drive to be big into a more productive and long-term vision that has far greater benefits than anything sold in a syringe or a bottle.

I can only hope they?re more bodybuilders like Dustin out there with the courage and patience to train naturally. I can honestly say their journey will be far more enjoyable and productive over the long-term than any short-term solutions that drugs promise but seldom deliver.

Natural Bodybuilding Get Big or Die Trying II

Introduction The ?Death-X-Perts? - Walking Time Bombs!

So many guys like Dustin turn to the biggest guy in the gym for their advice or worse a chemically enhanced time bomb gracing the pages of the latest Magazine. What Dustin and many others don?t know is the cruel and never ending spiral of drug abuse that a ?one-time-only? first cycle can trigger.

Believe me the average dude in the gym who is slamming the latest chemical going around town is not going to tell you how to rebuild your kidneys, your liver, or heart after they fail because you decided gaining an extra 20 pounds of muscle with some ?barnyard, home brewed, chemical concoction? loaded with impurities, animal hormones, bacteria and a host of chemicals that would make a ?biochemical weapons chemist? nervous was worth risking your health.

After being in and around the bodybuilding industry for the last 20 years I can honestly say that I am stunned and horrified by the unnecessary risks bodybuilders around the world are taking daily in the quest for a bigger biceps. One of the biggest problems in bodybuilding is how many bodybuilders are getting horrific advice from ?Pill Pushing Plate-Heads? passing themselves of as medical professionals, expert trainers, and my personal favorite? ?Masochistic Philosophers?.

Death-X-Pert Number 1

Recently I flipped through all of the main muscle magazines and I reflected on the deaths, illnesses, and sufferings of the industries leading ?Death-X-Perts?. It all started with guys like Dan Duchaine, ?a.k.a. The Steroid Guru?, who was and still is one of the most famous ?Death-X-Perts? ever but the persona was in fact a complete fake as Dan in reality was a 6?6 175lb skin and bones chemical nightmare gone wrong.

I first met Dan Duchaine in 1999 at the Arnold Classic and I was shocked and horrified that anybody would listen to this guy after seeing him in the flesh. It became clear to me Dan was a media sensation not a real expert, which got me thinking. How many Fake Gurus are really out there in the Bodybuilding Industry?

It didn?t take me long to find out the pill pushing propaganda program had been going on for some time and was showing no signs of letting up.

Death-X-Pert Number 2

Dan was actually spawned from one of the original ?pro massive dosage of chemical regime? that first reared its ugly head with the Dynamic Duo of Mike Mentzer and his marketing mentor Arthur Jones. Arthur Jones was an eccentric billionaire who used a marketing concept he called ?Heavy Duty ? now called HIT?. Arthur Jones was not only rich but he was an exceptionally smart marketer and a fine writer.

Arthur Jones then wrote a series of convincing Pseudo-science training articles, which were printed in major muscle magazines. Arthur then viciously attacked anyone who opposed his outlandish principles using a mix of truth and falsehoods complete with philosophy from Friedrick Nietzsche and Ann Ryand.

He then selected genetically advanced individuals like Mike Mentzer who were all too willing to become brain washed stooges for Jones, by espousing Jones new training philosophy and ingesting a boat load of chemicals in order to successfully promote Jones?s fitness line called Nautilus Equipment.

The whole scheme worked and Arthur Jones made millions. Nautilus was a smashing success, and a few years later Mike and his brother Ray?s careers were over after Arnold Schwarzenegger defeated Mike in a controversial decision at the 1980 Mr. Olympia.

Death Sells - So Who?s Buying

I find it more than a little eerie that HIT training regained popularity after Mike Mentzer died at middle age. Mike was indeed a tremendous bodybuilder but his lifestyle certainly begs question onto the sanity of his principles and where they lead any person too.

Interestingly, very seldom do you see any mention of the boatload of drugs needed to be successful long-term on HIT training programs. Today?s unsuspecting bodybuilders? like Dustin get only half of the story about the real reasons behind the success of HIT trainees or the sensational rise of the bodybuilding elite who?s ?training and nutrition? articles appear each month in the magazines.

At least Arnold admitted to his use of Steroids to build his build his body during his ?Pumping Iron? days. In Arnold?s Day it was perfectly legal to obtain drugs from your doctor and most of the top guys were under medical supervision before, during, and after their cycles.

Of course it does raise a question to the long-term effects of these products considering some of the health challenges Arnold has faced in recent years. What?s even more interesting these days is the ?Governator? has taken a strong position against the use of drugs since entering into public office.

Death-X-Pert Number 3

Since the deaths of Duchaine and Mentzer? there has been an explosion of ?Wannabee-Steroid Guru?s? touting the latest ?cycle secrets? on the internet. One such expert who is all over the net everywhere and even sports his own column in a major muscle building magazine brags how he gives drugs to his son and then has the audacity to state the health conditions he has endured ?have nothing to with the drugs?- YEAH RIGHT!

I mean when you have parents willing to put their children?s health at risk just to make a few bucks and gain some notoriety it makes you kind of wonder just ?what the hell is going on?. Read on because it?s not over yet, here comes the latest ?bodybuilding brainwave? the Sultan of Synthol.

Death-X-Pert Number 4

Now just when you think things couldn?t get worse it did and we have guys like Greg Valentino spouting off advice to what people should take to look like him. Greg?s claim to fame is building grotesquely deformed arms using by injecting a host of chemical goodies directly into ?lagging muscle groups?.

The swelling and scar tissue inflates the muscle to outlandish proportions almost overnight despite putting the user at risk to a host of serious medical complications that can result in everything from scars, sores, amputations and even death. But hey? ?At least you can get big for a day.?

Despite the sheer insanity of this practice many mainstream television and Internet media sources jumped on the ?Big At All Costs Bandwagon? by cashing in on the newest batch of bloated chemically infused muscle mutants to create an ?Insane Size Circus? not seen since the days of P.T. Barnum and the Elephant Man.

In the meantime we have an epidemic of top professionals who have died over the last few years including former muscle magazine media darlings ?Andreas Munzer, Mohammed Benaziza, Paul Demayo, Don Youngblood, and an ever increasing list off dead athletes whose lives were cut short because of ?Mass Monster Mania?.

Yet still if you surf the net you will find all kinds of ?Misguided Mass Monsters? who are doling out Deadly Drug Advice to anyone and everyone who happens to enter one of the thousands of ?Serious Bodybuilding Forums? on the net.

Each one of these ?Gorilla Gurus? comes complete with there own sick and twisted version of what I call ?Faux Pharmaceutical Philosophy? and an array of one liners, silly names, and of course not one shred of credibility, reliability, or sensibility.

Still to the unsuspecting it?s easy to fall prey to the ?Muscle Mania? and the underground bodybuilding drug culture.

Cycles, Surgeries, And Supplements

You can also add to the growing list of dead bodybuilders the hundreds of illnesses, last minute surgeries, and career ending medical conditions that forced the retirement of guys like Mike Matarazzo, Flex Wheeler, Dennis Newman and a swelling host of unheard of amateurs who have spent their money, their health, and their lives in pursuit of a 10 dollar trophy.

(See World Renowned Trainer Scott Abel?s Blog on ?Dying to Win? as it gives even a deeper look into the dark side of bodybuilding).

Then on top of all that we have the ongoing and growing list of legal problems of the top amateur and professional bodybuilders. What?s even more disturbing is how many websites, forums, and ?underground newsletters? distribute and promote information that idolizes and victimizes these individuals all the while encouraging their members to be ?smart? about there drug cycle.

The magazines play ?Blind Eye? to the whole charade because many of these guys and gals physiques grace the big supplement companies? advertisements. These unscrupulous money mongers carefully manipulate the minds of consumers around the world by rolling out the latest over sized ?Muscle Mutant? to play on the insecurities of young men and women who compare themselves to these over-glamorized heroes.

Most of these ?sponsored athletes? are in reality victims of greedy business owners who are all too willing to exploit just about anything for the all mighty dollar.

The bottom line is most if not all of today?s ?Bodybuilding Sensations? are really suffering from a severe case of Muscle Dysmorphia, which is a medical condition as serious as bulimia and anorexia. (See the official definition from ANRED at the end of this article).

The Sad Truth of bodybuilding is many of the top pros and amateurs? lives are more tragic then triumphant, full of drug addiction, prostitution, and crime. I am sure you wondering how does such reckless exploitation occur and how does this all happen?

Keep reading dear friend as I reveal the deep dark secret formula that marketers use to hoodwink athletes, consumers, and yes even you to there schemes, scams, and outright shams. Get ready because here comes the BIGGEST BOMBSHELL OF ALL!

Natural Bodybuilding Get Big or Die Trying

The other day I received an email from an earnest young man named Dustin (name changed for identity purposes). Now Dustin, like most young men in their late teens and early twenties, was looking to put on an extra ten or twenty pounds of muscle to fill out his frame.

Dustin like many men his age felt that he was too skinny. He also told me that he had been training for 3 or 4 years with moderate results and that although he was relatively lean, his bodyweight had been stuck between 170-175 pounds at a height of 5?11. I have received hundreds if not thousands of letters from guys and girls all around the world just like Dustin who are desperate to put on more muscle.

Like so many others before him Dustin told me how he had religiously followed an endless array of training programs. Although he had experienced some gains when he first switched to a new training program usually after the first 2-3 weeks on a new program his gains stopped. The situation had gotten worse because at the time of his email he had been sitting at his current bodyweight for almost a year and couldn?t seem to gain a pound of muscle no matter what he did.

Dustin also shared with me that he had been consuming 250 -300 grams of protein per day and performing all his sets to failure including partials, forced reps, and even negatives. In fact, he felt that he has never trained harder in his life and his diet was the best it?s ever been.

He tried all the supplements advertised in the magazines including creatine, NO2, hormone precursors, testosterone boosters, and some products whose name neither him or I could pronounce let alone spell. He also poured out his heart as to how frustrated he was as he felt he was doing everything right.

Dustin emailed me because he was considering taking a cycle of steroids. He really didn?t want too start taking drugs but felt he had no choice but to give in too the pressure from his friends and fellow gym members.

Now before I go into the solution to Dustin?s problem let?s look first at the cold hard facts that every trainee who goes into a gym today will eventually be faced with. My goal here is to give you a heads up to: the who, what, when, where, and why and how many guys like Dustin get caught up in The Get Big or Die Trying program, which is running rampant in just about every single gym in the world.

This article promises to be a real eye-opener for some of you and it?s definitely a no holds barred look at what?s really going on in the Whacky World of Modern Day Muscle-Building Mania.

Too quote a line from the Matrix, ?Buckle your seat belts Dorothy because Kansas is going Bye-Bye!?

The Biggest Bodybuilding Lie EVER? ?Just One Cycle?

Dustin?s story is an all to familiar one. It all started when some of the ?Big Dudes? in the gym had told him that if he did a small cycle he would pack on another 20 pounds in a month or two. These guys definitely had impressive physiques and they certainly seem to know a lot about training, dieting and getting big.

The bottom line was Dustin was almost ready to say the ?Hell with It? pick up a syringe and join the members of the ?Drug Infused Testosterone Nation? who can usually be spotted parading around most gyms on the planet like a herd of over sized plate heads. To the innocent observer these guys seemed to be doing okay and they all assured him that a little bit of juice wouldn?t hurt anyone.

I really felt for Dustin?s situation as I reflected back on my own journey in the bodybuilding industry. I myself have been in Dustin?s situation, as have millions of young men and women around the world.

Unfortunately business these days is booming thanks to the ?Drug dealers? around the world who have used this one cycle pitch since drug dealing began. It?s no secret that this pitch is convincing and bodybuilders have been falling for this line since the invention of the barbell.

Lets? face it the bodybuilding industry has taken a major nosedive ever since Dorian Yates ushered in the era of ?Chemical Warfare?. While drug use was prevalent amongst the top pros and amateurs in the 70?s and 80?s, the 90?s began the era where you simply take as many chemicals as you can afford, lift as heavy as you can, and hope like hell you don?t get sick, busted, or completely destroy your health.

Unfortunately, this insane quest for size has extreme costs as evidence by the rash of professional and amateur bodybuilders who have died, messed up their health permanently, or ended up in prison. The reality is few individuals consider the Big Picture when it comes to their training programs, diet, health or the real costs of ?juicing? even if it?s for ?just one cycle?.

The facts are one cycle leads to another, and another, and another because drugs cannot replace real training science, quality nutrition, the drive, focus, time and commitment it takes to build a truly awesome physique. Although drugs might seem like a quick fix to the Dustin?s current weight gain challenges. There not! In fact the first cycle is usually the first step into the underground steroid subculture. Let?s have a look at the players in this deadly game but be forewarned this could get messy before I?m done talking!

Bodybuilding Diet Tips- What Low GI Carbohydrates Have To Do With Building Muscle

If you're wanting to build muscle and lose fat, then you've got to pay attention to your diet.

So if you're bodybuilding, pay extra attention!

In particular you've got to be aware of your carbs.

What do I mean?

Well, for some guys, carbs can be a big factor to why they're putting on fat even though they're working out.

You would have heard of the term low GI carbs or carbohydrates, and even the phrase that you shouldn't have carbs after 6pm, as many Hollywood celebrities seem to do nowadays!

But do you know how it works?

Well, it works this way.

What happens when you have low GI carbohydrates

When you have low GI carbs as a meal or snack, the carbohydrates are absorbed gradually into the blood stream. Hence the glucose or sugar levels in the blood rises gradually. There's no big spike.

As a result the body produces some but not masses of insulin to get the sugar levels back down again.

However when you have a high GI carb or carbohydrates, an example would be sugar, white bread or potatoes, this happens.

The carbs here are absorbed rapidly and as a results the sugar level in your bloodstream peaks up rapidly.

Notice how some high GI foods are not sweet in taste. It's the fact that they're absorbed quickly.

So your body bow produces a large spike of insulin to get the glucose level back down.

And insulin is a hormone that makes you store fat so it's harder to burn off the fat. Which means it's going against what you're trying to do.

And so why do many people have no carbohydrates after 6pm or sometime in the evening or even afternoon?

Well, it's because your metabolism slows down later in the day and in the evening so having high GI foods at the same time is like a double whammy. It's best to have low GI carbs or less carbs overall in the evening.

So this is why low GI carbs are important in the diet, and how high GI carbs can go against your efforts to build muscle and lose fat and get ripped.

So now that you know this, put this into action!

Lucas Ryan helps you to gain muscle and lose fat so that you can show off your bodybuilding efforts and look ripped in no time. For more valuable tips visit his site to learn how to bodybuilding diets and low GI carbohydrates diet, and get real results with your weight lifting training.

Natural Bodybuilding and The Secret

In my 20 years plus in the iron game I am often asked what is the biggest secret to building a championship physique or at least a great body. The answer of course has a multitude of components but it boils down to a few basic truisms.

In this series of Articles I will share with you the key components that you will need to master in order to build your Ultimate Physique. There are 3 main components to achieve your goal, which are as follows:

1. You need a scientific and systematized training program that evolves as your body evolves.

2. You need to follow a high quality nutrient dense diet

3. You need heart, discipline and a compelling REASON WHY.

In the first part of this series we will examine the first component needed to follow a systematized training program.

Before You Start ? Be Clear On Your Destination

If you want to travel from New York to Los Angeles there are several ways to achieve this and several modes of transportation you can take. First and foremost you need to select the mode of transport such as walking, car, boat, train or airplane. Each mode of transport provides advantages and disadvantages as well as differences in cost as well as time taken to get to the destination.

If you have never made the trip and have no knowledge of the transport systems the best way to get to your destination would be to consult with individuals who have made the journey and select which modality meets your criteria of cost and time invested.

Much time on the journey can be saved with planning your trip in advance as well as selecting the most cost effective method of transport. If your goal is to build a strong, well-developed physique a little planning before hand can save you a lot of expense and headaches as well as ensuring you get to your destination.

The Advantages Of A Guide

Having the route planned out and the modality of transport is best left to a travel agent someone experienced in getting people to their destination. Likewise in building a great physique consulting with an expert coach will save you a great expense of time and money as well as providing you ?peace of mind?.

A great coach will provide you with a systematized scientifically proven training program. Let?s face the facts, without a good program you have almost no chance of building a great physique. I certainly never would have made it to the Mr. Universe without the guidance of my coach.

Imagine trying to get from New York to LA without a road map, any mode of transport, or any knowledge of how to get there. As insane as this sounds many individuals embark on this journey to build a great physique with this type of mindset, which pretty much guarantees failure.

Of course there are a few rare individuals who have made the journey by following many trial and error methods to build their physique but in reality no one wants to waste years and years following useless routines and getting discouraged. Every great athlete requires a coach to reach their ultimate potential as fast as possible.

Lack Of Plans Makes You Vulnerable To SCAMS

The lack of planning and coaching has put bodybuilders at the mercy of slick marketing, ?pie in the sky? supplements, and magazine mysticism that leaves bodybuilders desperate and frustrated. For some reason bodybuilders are so hooked on the "genetics is everything" they consistently fall prey to giving less then their best effort on their program, which leads to disillusionment and discouragement.

I often witness individuals who fail to plan end up using steroids and other bodybuilding drugs to compensate for a poor routine found in a magazine or randomly selected exercises performed with terrible form. These individuals also tend to build ?Bogus belief systems? that support the use of drugs to build the physique. This is a quick and slick route to poor health and the dark side of the sport that plagues the entire industry.

This no plan, drugs are the answer mentality is pervasive even at the pro-level and is a cancer to the science of building muscle. Basically once you take the drugs away from many of the top amateur bodybuilder?s and pros most have an average at best physique.

What?s really sad is many of these individuals have compensated their physical and mental health for a bigger arm or a few extra pounds on the scale. It?s sounds crazy but I see this scenario playing out in almost every gym in the world. Bottom line, get a good plan and stick with it!

Natural Bodybuilding Training ? Stage One

For the Natural Bodybuilder a great physique is not only possible it is a certainty once the individual commits to and follows a step-by-step sound training program.

The best programs will be progressively geared where the athlete first trains the nervous system to handle increasingly challenging demands so that new neural pathways can be developed to build muscle. The body becomes it's function is a great truism so you need to first develop strong neural drives to each muscle group to maximize it's development.

This first stage of training is usually followed for several years with an emphasis on Classic movements, high volume training at high intensity, with body parts being worked in groups as opposed to individually. Dietary intake in this stage is almost always eat as much as possible to fuel growth and energy metabolism.

For more details on routines, styles and training check out my website.

The Second Stage of Training

Once you have built sufficient mass from foundation training you can then incorporate training that involves strategic or body part training. The difference in style means your training will need to pay particular attention to smaller muscle groups to improve the shape, function and aesthetics of the physique.

Usually accompanying this stage is a dietary regimen that strips away body fat to reveal the underlying musculature. This is a critical aspect to fully realize where one's physical development is and where improvements need to be made.

The length of time of each phase depends on the maturity of the nervous system, goals of the individual, and body fat percentages. For most trainees these two stages should compromise approximately 1-3 years depending on how fast the individual responds to training and the continuity of the effort exerted.

In reality most people take 3-5 years to get their nervous system to the high levels of training capacity required to excel in a given discipline.

Incorporating Training Cycles

Cycling back and forth between Foundation training for the structure and body part training for the aesthetics compromises the bulk of these stages until the individual get's down to single digit body fat levels with a significant level of muscle mass.

At this point a more complex routine is required because the body's ability to adapt to training has significantly improved

Stricter attention to nutrition as well as advanced supplementation and serious psychological training is then required to overcome perceived limits in performance. This is where most trainees falter and there physical development halts.

Make no mistake! Intense effort is required to break past this barrier, and this takes incredible self-discipline, and desire (Big Reason Why). I also suggest that any individual sincerely seeking their ultimate potential must employ regular psychological training techniques from a professional sport psychologist.

If you can?t afford a professional psychologist simply start with books, CD?s, courses and camps developed by proven professionals.

The Third Stage Of Training

In this third and ongoing stage both foundation and body part training are performed throughout our workout regimens and training reflects constant change to maximize growth and overcome underdeveloped areas. Each month specialization on weak aspects is a must while maintaining or improving strong points.

Arnold refers to this stage in Pumping Iron when he discusses how he overcame his weak points and now in order to increase one muscle in size he must change every part of his physique in order to accommodate this change.

Of course few people will ever reach Arnold's development but the implications are the same for every trainee when it comes to advanced workout design.

This long-term healthy scientific approach to bodybuilding is far superior to training using drugs because without drugs the individual needs to first follow sound training science and sound nutritional advice.

By building a solid base to your training and nutrition long term improvement is guaranteed and bodybuilding becomes a long term and continually improving pursuit. All too often I see individuals underestimate the power of nutrient dense diets, scientific training, combined with self-discipline and a positive attitude.

These are the real secrets to building an outstanding physique.

The Disadvantages Of Steroids

Conversely, bodybuilders who use drugs to build their bodies quickly lose their gains once the drugs stop because of poor training and poor nutrition and most of all a short-sighted approach to their training and nutrition program.

Not only do these bodybuilders lose the muscle once the drugs stop the psychological dependence on drugs lead many top level bodybuilders to become so depressed after they stop a cycle that they discontinue training which further compounds and accelerates the physical degeneration of their muscles.

The loss of identity and false euphoria that drugs create can often lead to other more serious psychological/sociological problems. Natural bodybuilding is a far superior way to build every aspect of your physique as well as your mind and emotional state. Natural bodybuilding is a compliment to a productive and happy level not a detriment.

Many natural trainees continue to improve late into there life. I have personally witnessed people making gains in they?re 50's, 60's and even 70's with consistent and applied scientific effort in Natural Bodybuilding. More importantly the long-term benefits of Natural Bodybuilding far outweigh any short-term illusionary gains that drug use provides...

In the next part of this article we will discuss the second part and most overlooked aspect of training; following a nutrient dense diet. Until then train hard, train smart and most of all train natural.

Natural Bodybuilding and The Secret Keys to Building a Great Physique Part II

In the first part of this installment we examined how to build a road map to get to your destination. We talked about training the nervous system with a foundation style routine. Then we moved on to strategic body part training to build symmetry, balance, and the optimum proportions of your physique.

The final stage we looked at was the advanced stage where a combination of size and symmetry training would be employed to maximize the development of the whole body. Keep in mind it?s best to follow a systematized scientific training regime in order to advance through the three stages of training.

In Part II of this series we are going to examine the most common challenge bodybuilders face, which is nutrition. Unfortunately there is so much confusion about what to eat, when to eat, how much to eat and on and on that it is almost impossible to sort out what to do. Also eating to grow is very different than eating to get shredded, so the key point to remember is that your diet needs to evolve with your physique.

The Importance of Consistency And Self-Discipline

Consistency and self-discipline when it comes to your eating are the two biggest keys to long-term success. Bodybuilders who are successful always plan ahead and have meals prepared well in advance.

If you don't plan out your meals and have them with you at all times you will invariably fail in giving yourself the best possible gains. Hoping that restaurants, or friends or relatives will be serving "bodybuilding food" is unrealistic and leads to frustration as well as no progress.

Almost every person I have every met that could not gain or lose weight did not prepare there food in advance. It sounds simple, and it is simple but few overlook this critical point. Don't be one of those people who don?t prepare their meals in advance.

In every training course I create there is a whole section on food prep to keep you on your eating program. I learned these food preparation and food avoidance skills over years of trial and error. Fortunately, you don?t have to you can simply learn from someone who has already learned the hard way.

Many people think that sticking with a diet or specialized eating plain is a matter of will power or won't power but in reality it?s all about having the right food ready and available when you need it. The old saying of ?Be Prepared? is the Mantra of every successful eating program whether you looking to gain mass or to lose fat.

Here is a few simple Food preparation Rules that I have learned. I suggest you print this list out, stick it on your fridge, or put it somewhere you can review it until you have the list memorized and the actions become automatic. You will be surprised how easy following your eating program can be when you follow these simple guidelines.

7 Strategies To Stay On Your Eating Program

1. Always carry 1-2 meals with you more than you think you will need. This way any delays in your schedule will not throw your eating off.

2. Always eat before you go shopping, to the movies, or to other social occasions where non-nutritious food will be served this way you will reduce any cravings for junk or hunger induced binging.

3. Prepare food in bulk and use Tupperware containers so that you can grab quick meals at any time. You will find it takes very little extra time to prepare 10 meals as it does to prepare one meal. This savings in time will actually make your life way more efficient and your eating plan easy to stick too.

4. Get off all artificial sweeteners. Artificial sweeteners cause cravings for sugar, mess up your metabolism and brain function, and may have negative effects on your overall health. Cut them out of your diet immediately and switch to Stevia, or Raw Honey for sweetening. NO Diet Sodas.

5. Drink plenty of water each day. Most often dehydration is misinterpreted as hunger. Slug back a liter of water 30 minutes before eating or when you feel hungry and you will see how it curbs appetite significantly.

6. Place nutritious snacks in you car, your office desk at your house basically everywhere that you spend a considerable amount of time. You will quickly develop the habit of eating healthy and junk foods will quickly lose their appeal.

7. Schedule a regular junk food meal once per week. This is a powerful lesson that starts building the will to understand delayed gratification. Every time you have a craving for junk food simply write it down and schedule to eat it on a set day. By the end of the week you can review the list and go eat those foods guilt free. Often times by the junk food day you won't want the food or it won't taste as good as you anticipated. Over time you will develop more control over your cravings and reduce negative guilt associations with food.

This list isn't ?the be all and end all? of eating but it gives you a basic understanding of exactly what is needed for you to successfully stay on your eating plan.

The Evolution Of Your Diet

Keep in mind that your eating program will evolve over time. Your body will naturally adjust from desiring different types of foods depending on a variety of factors such as season, nutrient levels, PH balance of the body, training demands, and conditioning levels to name a few.

Recording how food affects your body, your moods, and your performance is critical. I call this information biofeedback and it is critical to monitor your biofeedback so as to develop a greater understanding of the powerful effects of food on your mood and your performance.

Review your eating journal regularly so you become aware of your eating patterns as well as developing awareness of how each food affects your body. Clients are always surprised at how much they can learn about food just by charting their eating patterns for a few months. Having a coach, or someone who monitors your biofeedback regularly is also a great way to stay accountable for what you put in your mouth.

One final note on successful eating practices is to remember you must master eating and training first before supplements can be effective. So many people try the other way around and wind up frustrated. The only supplements that needs to be considered when learning to master your diet is: Enzymes and probiotics, Live Proteins, Minerals, Vitamins, and Essential Fatty Acids.

I call these ?Whole Food? Supplements. In other words these food supplements are a whole food themselves and a requirement for the proper functioning of your digestive tract, your immune systems, and your metabolism. Whole food supplements are essential to building the best physique possible and will ensure you stay healthy, and happy for many years to come.

Avoid Becoming A Shot-Gun Supplement Victim

?Shot-Gunning? a random bunch of herbs, hormonal precursors, ?blood volumizers?, ?fat-burners?, testosterone enhancers and the endless list of products hawked at you mercilessly by ?Snake Oil Supplement Companies? is a surefire way to waste your money and become another victim of the Snake Oil Supplement Gang.

Whole food supplements will always outperform these ?One Hit Wonders? short-term, and over the long haul.

No supplement can make up for a poor diet or poor training so vow to master these two facets first before wasting money on supplements. Once you master your diet then the right supplement at the right time can do wonders to improve performance, but seldom does the supplement deliver when the diet is poor.

In the third part of this series we will look at the importance of having a ?Big Reason Why?. This is the final and the most important key, for you to realize your full physical potential.

Natural Bodybuilding and The Secret Keys to a Great Physique Part III

The final installment of this series is about developing the Will of a Champion by finding your Big Reason Why.

Face it; every champion has developed an iron will. It is superhuman will-power that propels the individual through grueling workouts; Spartan diets, all kinds of adversity, to see positives inside of failures, to go beyond conventional limiting belief systems, and to ultimately reach one?s physique goals.

The question is how does one develop the iron will of an Arnold Schwarzenegger, Muhammed Ali or Lance Armstrong?

While psychologists, experts and athletes all talk about different aspects of developing the will to win, the bottom line when developing an iron will comes down to having a big enough reason WHY.

Develop An Iron Will Like Arnold Schwarzenegger

Arnold had a dream, like every other bodybuilder but what separated him from the thousands of other bodybuilders was he leveraged his desire better than anyone else. How did he do this?

What gave him so much willpower to succeed?

How can you duplicate this in pursuit of your physique goals?

These are important questions that you need to ask yourself to build up the will to reach your physique goals, whether it is losing an extra 10 pounds, putting an inch on your arms, or becoming the greatest bodybuilder in the world. It all starts and ends with Will.

Will - The Unseen Force Behind Everything

Classically defined will is the ability to exert force.

Every action, either mental or physical requires some energy. It takes energy to breathe, to blink your eyes, or to bench press a heavy barbell. In each of these examples though the force required can be separated into to distinct aspects.

Let?s look at lifting a dumbbell to illustrate.

First if you lift a dumbbell to shoulder height it is going to require two distinct aspects of force production:

The first and easiest force to examine is the electrical energy provided by the muscles in the arm to lift the arm

The second force is not so easy to measure yet it is this force that has more to do with your success than anything else. This force originates in the mind as the will power to lift the dumbbell or the mental energy exerted to initiate, sustain and complete any task.

You Need Will Power And Electrical Power

For example, if you tried to lift a dumbbell that was heavier than you could lift, no matter how much mental energy you exerted you will not be able to lift the weight. The will was there but the muscles could not produce enough force to lift the arm.

Conversely, you may have the strength to lift a heavy dumbbell up to shoulder height but you were not sufficiently motivated to do it therefore you failed the lift. However if someone put a gun to your head and said lift this weight or die, you would easily lift the weight as your will was leveraged by the fear of death.

Although this is an extreme and yet simplistic example it does illustrate there is more to lifting a weight or performing an action than muscle power.

Will power is the ultimate aspect, because with a strong enough will one can build the muscle power required to lift heavy weights. When the will is developed properly it can be used for other aspects of life such as dieting, success in business, self-development, overcoming adversity and an endless number of possibilities.

In Eastern philosophies such as Yoga and the various Martial arts, the development of will is the foremost component of the individual?s journey and ultimate success. In actuality the development of will is the key to success just as much in the western world as it is in the east.

The development of an iron will is especially true today in building a great physique, winning a national or world championship, or reaching a personal best.

Although there are many ways and systems to develop will it really boils down to leveraging two basic emotions, the desire to experience pleasure or the desire to avoid pain. Self help and personal development guru Tony Robbins emphasizes this in all of his courses, books, and seminars.

We all can learn a great deal from Tony and the many thousands of motivational speakers, psychologist, and athletes who have gone on to incredible levels of success and achievement. The Great news is you don?t have to re-invent the wheel because all you have to do is follow the steps that led other people to success.

I believe there are 3 Keys that almost every successful personal has developed.

The 3 Keys to Bodybuilding Success ?

A Big Reason Why, Hard Work, A Positive Attitude

Bodybuilding is a unique sport where the avoidance of pain will definitely curtail your results. Building a fantastic physique requires you to learn to manage pain from lactic acid, from sore muscles, the pain of being hungry, the pain of missing certain social events, and the list goes on.

The only way you are going to get past these roadblocks is to develop an iron will.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is one of the best examples of someone who has overcome incredible obstacles because he learned how to turn what most people consider pain or suffering into pleasure. He achieved this by developing a massive reason why, followed by hard work and a relentless positive attitude.

After many years of training Arnold became champion of the world and then used the same principles to become a successful businessman, a top grossing movie actor and finally the Governor of the State of California, which he moved to as a result of his desire for success.

What allowed someone of such a humble background to become so successful in such an unlikely way?

The ?Arnold Factor?

The answer is Arnold developed intense willpower by leveraging his basic desires and transmuting them into the energy and drive to successfully achieve them. When interviewed about his success Arnold radiates his passion, joy and love for whatever he is doing which is his biggest secret.

Arnold leveraged his desires so much that training many hours a day, learning a new language, moving to a foreign country, or running a successful election campaign become merely rungs of achievement naturally achievable by following a plan to achieve his objective and working relentlessly to achieve it.

If you study the lives of almost every successful individual you will see striking similarities in the achievement of their dreams. One of the best ways to do this is to read up on the biographies of the most successful people in the world. Pick icons of success that you can admire and dive into their stories.

After a few of these biographies not only will you be pumped about your own ability to succeed you will be able to identify a pattern of success among great individuals.

The Secret to Unlimited Will Power - The Power of Love

The power of love generates more energy than any other human emotion. Tapping into this love is how you can overcome any barrier to your success. While most people use pain and its avoidance to motivate, Arnold tapped into a higher form of will power, one that was generated by his love of bodybuilding, of acting, of business, and of politics.

It is this power of love that activates tremendous willpower in even the weakest individual. We have all heard the stories of the little old lady who lifted a car because a loved one was trapped under it. The will power to achieve this impossible act was created by the love of the individual trapped under the car. Likewise the love of what Arnold was doing propelled him to multiple successes.

In order for you to be successful in building your physique, getting a better job, or successfully accomplishing a challenging task you need to expand and develop your love for whatever you are doing.

How do you develop more love in your life?

The Attitude of Gratitude

Give thanks for everything in your life including the challenges. While this may be tough at first it is a key component to happiness and the first step in becoming a loving and passionate person.

Become passionate about your objective by learning everything you can about it. Involve yourself as deep into your goal as possible and build up a multitude of positive reasons as too why you can achieve your goal. Make a list of everything you love about your life and read it out loud every morning and every night.

Read positive books, ask questions, and hang around people who are passionate and positive about the sport. Study the biographies of the individuals who have achieved similar success. Educate yourself about everything in the sport.

Program your mind for success by building joy around every little success. Do not entertain doubt, eliminate negative people from your life and if you cannot, then use their negativity as fuel to propel you to work harder. Remember?

There Is No Tomorrow, There Is Only ?The Now?

To achieve astounding success you need to look at every workout as the most important in your life. Find ways of leveraging time so that you are aware of the preciousness of each moment. There is no tomorrow, there is only now and what you do today is where you start tomorrow.

Become incredibly positive. Recognize the seeds of success lie in today?s failure, and there are no bad results if you learn from each and every one or your experiences. Don?t judge yourself, simply evaluate your strengths and weaknesses and work as hard as possible on overcoming your current limitations. This is how you develop the will of a champion.

All champions love what they do. Champions are willing to perform even the most unpleasant tasks if they will lead to success. Often times the most unpleasant tasks are the ones you need to focus on the most. Feed yourself daily positive affirmations and take action every day to the achievement of your goal ?

These are some of the keys to developing an iron Will and the way to achieve success in any field. Remember the words written in one of the greatest self-help books of all time Think and Grow Rich written by Napoleon Hill, ?If you can Conceive it, and Believe it, You can Achieve it?.
